This is the same reason some businesses win BIG, while most fail.
You might say What the heck are you talking about Brainy and you would be correct to say it so.
Values are what drive people. Values are pretty much your own compass guiding us with our actions, what matters most to us, and in which order, how we want to live our limited time on earth, and how we treat others.
And when you are lightning clear on your values, you will start attracting people like you, while repulsing other people who don’t fit like you. The same applies to both your personal life and your business.
They say if you can distribute all the money in the world in equal shares to all the people on earth, sooner or later, the money will come back into the same hands of people with the same proportions before distribution.
I firmly believe the same is true with values.
Mix all the people on earth, and sooner or later, people with the same values will find each other.
I have one of the highest unsubscribe rates in the industry right now – based on my feelings only, nothing scientific here because I am not hiding behind my writing. I am honest with myself and with you. Some people don’t like the person I am, so they decide to make the terrible decision to unsubscribe. It happens every day.
If I don’t like someone or think they could hurt my audience, I will call them out without hesitation. And doing so can cost me a lot, but not my reputation. There’s no price tag high enough to sell this thing. These are my values.
Every day, people join my list – see if they fit with me or not, and make a decision based on that.
Now the homeschool part.
I don’t believe in the education system right now AND I want to spend the most time possible with my kids before they become primates again and make sounds like ”ARRGGGHHH” ”ERRRRRRRRRRR” ”WHAT ARE WE EATING TONIGHT”.
Some call it teenagers. I call it a primate.
And our lifestyle at Josy and Me can afford to do this. To be fully aligned with our values. Just like family is one of them.
And all our actions lead to the value of family, like (non-exhaustive list):
*Every meal is taken at the dinner table all together at the same time – no exceptions
*Every day before bed, I read them a story and I ”talk about them” (this is something I learned from Ed Mylett) to reinforce my love over them while boosting their confidence and positive energy
**We spend AT LEAST 2 hours every day all together
