I’m writing these lines with a mix of feelings that I’m not quite able to name… despite the rather funny title (I may be in my mid-thirties,, but..):
A lot of anger, a slight incomprehension, and unease. Last night, I went to visit my grandmother, who is over 90, in a nursing home where she was recently placed because of her condition. Advanced memory loss, daily falls and other health problems. She needs frequent care and supervision.
And if you know a bit about Canada, it’s not the best place to be the ”homes for the elderly”. Some are good, none are great, but many are bad.
We arrive on-site with my wife Josy and my 4 children, Maggy, Zack, Tom & Theo (All under 6 years old, by the way – you can imagine we’re stealing the show over there).
As soon as we walk into the room, it hits me like a whiplash:
IT SMELLS SHIT
(Considering she can’t change herself, my investigative skills concluded it was coming from my grandmother… especially since she was the only one in the room)
Right.
I’ll get someone who works here to tell him.. maybe it just happened…
”Scuse me, I need my grandmother changed,” I say in a polite tone.
”No way… I changed it just before you arrived 15 minutes ago, I won’t do it again”.
..EXCUSE ME??

Yeah.. right..! Several years ago, I was taken in by this, as were many others, and the response from the person who sold me the course reminded me of the McDonald scandal that used to happen: 100% beef, they said.. . In fact, it was only the name of the brand, it didn’t mean that there was 100% beef in the hamburger. The person told me that 10,000/month, it was just the name of the product… not a promise… Crazy thing…
shit claim #3 – “No skills, no experience, no effort needed!”
Come on! 10k/m with no skills…

I’m just pissed off about these claims.
