I’ve just received an offensive message from ”someone on my list”,
..this guy needs help..
He starts his email with a lie:
”Hi Yann, It’s XXX (I won’t reveal his name to give the guy unnecessary exposured) from UK”
UK? That’s a lie! Who wants to stay in a place where it rains 300 days a year?
(just kidding… that’s not lying)
He mentioned that he had bought one of my products – IT’S WRONG! It’s probably a template written by ShutGPT that sends to several people and he forgot to remove a sentence… Is this really how you consider your relationships?
Followed by …
”I’m writing to you about an exciting and new affiliate opportunity around content creation.”
(Exciting? YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT IT! NOT ME!)

Followed by a LONG boring text about his product that I won’t copy/paste here since it was painful to read, so it be for you.

HOW DARE YOU!
..This.. is .. Insulting
And there’s a high probability that this guy doesn’t succeed online. He probably jumps from shiny object to shiny objects, wondering why his ”thing” does not work.
I need to take some breath..because..
There’s so much in this email that I need to talk about….
If the person has been on my list for a while, they should understand that the relationship with my list is the most important thing and that I don’t promote anything I don’t believe in. I only promote things I believe in.
Approaching someone for the first time to get something out of them is unacceptable. You’re tapping into my trust line. You have to deposit a bill in the trusted line and relationship before asking for something…
The person could have offered to send an email to his list to promote my list before offering me anything, but he chose to write a mass email with shutGPT that is boring, non-personalized, and filled with lies, without building a relationship first.
And I’ll give you a little advice while I’m at it… an ebook with 40% comm isn’t interesting. You should put 80 or 100% comm to encourage the person if they want to promote, ONCE YOU HAVE BUILT THAT RELATIONSHIP. That way, you’ll have a list of buyers for free and you make your Benjamin Franklin on the backend.
