Today, there are two reasons why my family banned me.
One is my childhood trauma of playing baseball, field hockey and soccer and having my father drive me home.
The game would start at 1 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon, for example, but my father Daniel would drive me back to the field at 10. Not because I was excellent and my dream was to play in the major leagues… no… simply because he didn’t want us to be late. By 1:00 p.m. for the game, I was tired and wanted to go home.
In the morning at school, if I started at 09:00, My dad Dan would knock on my bedroom door at 5:00 AM and say:
”I’LL BE WAITING IN THE CAR”
(Sound of vehicle starting outside)
…Ok…(in less than 5 minutes, I had to shower, get dressed, have breakfast)
it came in handy later on when I did my army courses.
Even today, when we have an extended family dinner with uncles, aunts, cousins and all, EVERYONE closes their curtains and bars their doors before the arrival time mentioned in advance, because I arrive 3 hours early!!!!
A childhood trauma… that and the expiration dates on food labels (an e-mail for another time). GOSH I hate THEM.
The second reason is that my wife Josy and I have four children,
-Maggy, my oldest, with whom we homeschool
-Zack & Tom, who go to daycare for 2 days (to socialize and get sick) and will be homeschooled soon; and
-A newborn (Theo) who doesn’t go to daycare yet, but will soon and will be homeschooled.
WE ATTRACT ALL DISEASES SUCH AS COVID, FLU, LEPROSY, SCURVY, and other dubious illnesses every week.
And when we go to dinner as a family, we contaminate everyone.
I can hear my family sigh when we visit them…
”Ah..ok… they’re sick… it’s ok..you can come..” – the voice that shakes.
For my part, I give my little antibody soldiers (what some call antibodies) a briefing every morning to protect me, but sometimes they don’t understand the orders…
As I like to say, my emails never contain value in the traditional sense that everyone mentions, other than pointing you in the right direction and having the basics for a successful online business.
I am not here to tell you what to do, it’s up to you, but here’s what I do to make my life work the way I wanted:
My wife and I made a list of values we wanted in our life and we built around it… that’s it..
for instance, family is one of our core values. We eat ALL our meals together at the same table (there are very few exceptions) (This is just one of some actions that have helped to focus on this value).
The values taught at school don’t suit us (and we want to spend as much time with them as possible), that’s why we pick homeschooling.
We manage to build something that allows us to respect our values, so an online business is part of the answer (flexibility of time and income):
If you want to start your online business the right way, click here to start the 5-day challenge. Obviously, it’s paid. It’s a program that I am an affiliate with and I do believe they don’t charge enough to enter their world, but their decision..:
