This morning, while I was out running errands, I received a message from my wife Josy:
”I’ve got a last-minute girls’ dinner planned, do you mind if I go?”
”No, when?” I text back.
PING.
”Tonight”
Oh…
Ooh….
So, I have to stay home with four kids under six all alone.
”No problem” in a confident tone by text, but lots of questioning goes through my head…
What are we going to eat? Who’s going to do the dishes? Who’s going to give the bath? Who’s going to put the kids to bed? Oh… wait. I’m the responsible adult. Responsible DAD ACTIVATED.
We had a little movie night with a few chips and EVERYBODY went to bed on time without any fuss… For context, we normally have to fight for 2 hours to get everyone to bed… The real bedtime is 7:00 pm, but in reality it’s more like 9:00 pm.
It’s almost a miracle!
I can now sit and relax since my business is very low maintenance.
