I went for a walk outside yesterday, as I usually do, for the physical activity and mental benefits it can bring.
I often adopt the 50-25-25 approach when I walk:
/50% of the walk time, I listen to something to learn something. All subjects combined.
/25% of the walk time, I listen to music. I alternate between Christian rock and “Best hits music workout” while imagining myself the greatest boxer in the world.
/25% of the walk time, I do it with no sound at all. I simply think and take notes of meaningful thoughts that come to mind.
Suddenly, I arrive at the intersection of a school where the kids are playing soccer during recess. One kid kicks the ball the wrong way and they line up at my feet on the other side of the sidewalk:
Time slows down,
The ball is at my feet.
Everyone looks at me to see if I’m going to kick the ball back and “how” I will do it. I hear the crowd shouting, Here Sir!!!! Here Sir!
I line up the ball with my best kick, even though I’ve never really played soccer. I am a sportsman though.
ANDD…. BAMMM!!!
The best kick of my life!
Beautiful ball rotation, perfect trajectory, perfect distance.
The crowd went wild! I even got cheers from the school supervisors and the cars that had stopped to let me do the ball return.
I felt like a star for a moment… all the attention on me… and…
I hated it.
That’s why I don’t like social media or showing myself on video, I don’t like the attention. I prefer to do things under the radar, unseen and unknown, and let people judge me by the number of followers I have on my personal account.
Oh, they are wrong. They are chasing the wrong metrics and I don’t tell them publicly that they are wrong. I prefer to win big in silence, just as I do now.
I completely understand those who want to build an online business that are faceless for fear of losing their job or jeopardizing the family’s financial stability or just fearing the judgment of others.
That’s why this program exists. When you get into this program, they show you how to build an online business with a faceless account. You will be under the radar if you want to use the social media. However, I do think the best way is to show who you are, but it’s up to you. There are successful case studies for both approaches.
Once you get the fundamental right, you can do whatever you want, it’s all the same or almost the same..
