I fell in love with affiliate marketing many years ago. Probably because I was naive enough to believe the story pushed by the guru of passive income, working at the beach, no product creation needed, dealing with customer service, and so on. No downside, just upside.
Goshh, I was wrooong.
There is a lot of conflicting, overwhelming, and ”too good to be true” information online regarding online businesses and I’ve learned it the hard way with money lost and time lost. That’s why you will never see me with a screenshot of my earnings or promising you a monthly income. I firmly believe that is not the way you build a great relationship with your audience because refunds are expectation failures, not product failures.
Now in my thirties with four children whom I homeschool, a degree in marketing, and many years of experience online, I am even more passionate about affiliate marketing—even obsessed, you might say—but I do things very differently from others.

The social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) are no longer places where you can share your thoughts, connect with friends, and make genuine connections. An algorithm drives them to build an echo chamber around you and will s*ck your soul to produce more and more content for public validation, such as likes, comments, and shares. This is the perfect formula to burn out and produce low-value content.
The only way to build a successful long-term affiliate business is to focus on the WHO (your customers’ wants & needs – present and future) and to be DIFFERENT.
As soon as you have the same products/offers as everybody else, you lose.
